It's a huge loss; she could have been such a stabilizing influence in that region.
The thing that touched me the most about what happened, though, is that after reading this and many other statements she's made to the press in the last several months, it's clear she knew the danger she was in. She knew there was a very good chance she'd be killed, yet she did what she believed needed to be done anyway.
She'll be missed.
Absolutely Bernie - "she knew there was a very good chance she'd be killed, yet she did what she believed needed to be done anyway," what courage and conviction! I wished we saw more of these principle based, courageous people in politics on all levels of government in our own country, state, cities and communities. I'll definitely be watching and listening for them.
