We Could Revolutionize the World........

if it were politically correct to be transparent in our being -- if people allowed their feathers to be ruffled before reacting --if we could look at things from the big picture point of view rather than from the limited and personal point of view only -- if we could truly understand the meaning of appreciation, toleration, effective communication and love.

How's that for a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Ft. Worth? Life is good and I love Ft. Worth.

Thanks for coming to my defense on the West & Clear blog entry about McCain. I can't get enough of it!

I read accusations about McCain being an extreme partisan. I present facts that state otherwise, and in fact conclude that Obama is the extremist. I ask for facts that prove otherwise. Topic changes! It never fails...

I'm curious, why do you think it's not politically correct to be transparent? Care to elaborate?

Tell Fort Worth I said hello!

Recyclican - I agree with you about the extreme partisan positions. They cause much harm to the innocent tax payer. I am so very disappointed that McCain was FOR the bailout and all the pork that went with it. I am beginning to fully understand what Whited Sepulchre, www.thewhitedsepulchre.blogspot.com and other Libertarians mean, when they say there is no real difference in the two parties (Dems/Repubs) and that they are really one in the same.

Regarding transparency not being politically correct, it was a thought I had when thinking about the problems we have in East Ft. Worth and why they haven't been addressed and dealt with in a successful, effective and efficient manner and how much Neighborhood politics plays a role in it. The more transparent one is, especially if you are questioning the system, the further down the road of "political incorrectness" you go, because people in power don't want to be questioned. At least that has been my experience and I have heard the same thing from many of the residents.
Same thing on the National scale...when people were questioning Fannie/Freddie, I bet the people in power jumped on them as if they were committing a crime by "accusing" the powers of corruption.
My bet is that it isn't thought of as politically incorrect by the people who are not in the circle of power, only the ones that feel threatened by such questioning find it to be the political incorrect thing to do. I am placing my bets on that fact which is one of the main reasons that I am running for City Council in this District(8). To bring the people's voice who are outside of the power cirlces to the table and to demand that all of government, Neighborhood Associations included, work for, and listen to, the people it represents!

You'll have to let me know more details about your interest in 8. Shoot me an e-mail some time!

My interest in District 8 is strong because I've lived in this district for about 8 years and owned a business in this District for 3 years. I, along with many others, have put in many many personal volunteer hours to get things accomplished. We still have a very long way to go in cleaning up and lifting up this District. It's just time for new ideas, new energies, new synergies, new ways of communicating, more people involved, more people listened to; just a more effective, respectful and efficient way of doing business from the City Council office in this District. I can deliver the goods and am excited about the months ahead. Please visit my campaign site and feel free to donate; I need the money as my opponent is well funded and well known. Yes, I'll shoot you an email. Thanks again for commenting.
